The Lighthouse Chargers of Springfield, Mo. are the biggest story of this week. Their come-from-behind road win against The #5 NOAH Jaguars of Tulsa was an epic battle in the I-44 Rivalry. The solid win boosted them from #4 to #2 in our division 1 national rankings.
Another significant game was Airborne Rangers of Charlotte defeating the defending national division 1 champions, Central Virginia Disciples. Here are the full stats on the 11-man national race:
Division 2 rankings may be released as early as next week. Our rankings reflect the performances of varsity teams who look to the homeschooling community for athletes. We are certain to see many new division 2 teams at the top of the rankings, as early contests have demonstrated the impact of major departures by key leading athletes who have gone on to play at the college level.
As the season progresses we will sift the list to leave only the rosters whose home-educated athletes make up a majority of their teams. Teams who do not report scores to Maxpreps will be removed from the ranks. Athletes will not be eligible for personal performance recognition unless and until their statistician post game stats to Maxpreps.
Maxpreps is a free service to prep athletic programs. The CBS Sports division is a prime resource for college recruiters who are looking for tomorrow's college stars.
